White\'s Slough
This slough is teeming with wildlife: cormorants, Gadwall ducks, Canada geese were present yesterday, as were many butterflies. The water level is way down due to the drought and yellow wildflowers are growing in the areas that have dried up.
There was only one opening in the bushes along the road to photograph the main part of the slough and with a steep drop down the bank, there was no way to get down there to get a larger view.
We walked down the road at the west end of the slough and saw many butterflies and more areas with no water and lots of wildflowers. | Date(s): October 28. Album by Judy Howle. Photos by Judy Howle. 1 - 26 of 26 Total. 2716 Visits. |
