Agatha
August 23, 2010
San Francisco, CA

Dainty and darling, our friend Agatha hails from Fremont where she was found as a stray and never claimed. This beautiful little 8 years-young Rat Terrier mix specializes in warming laps, hearts, and being rather jaunty on her walks through the neighborhood. A petite princess, Agatha is tolerant of both dogs and cats, but asks for a teens-and-up home as she can be a bit shy with handling before she knows you. This joyful gal would love to show off her fabulous leash skills and laid-back demeanor to her forever-home, so if you are looking for a dog that’s easy like Sunday morning and likes to sleep in by your side, meet the amazing Agatha today! For more information or to adopt Agatha please contact Ariana at: aluchsinger@petsunlimited.org.

Zippy
north Georgia
September 16, 2010

HOW I FIRST MET AND FELL IN LOVE WITH ZIPPY: I picked her up in August, from a gentleman who said his daughter found her lying in a creek under some rocks. The man was feeding Zippy for ~3-4 months but was keeping her outside. She was dragging her hind end when they found her but he still did not allow her inside. She had a lot of open abrasions on her hind quarters when I picked her up. Now the good news. She was immediately taken to a vet once she was rescued. The veterinarian estimates her age to be ~5-8 years? She weighs ~11 pounds. She is heartworm negative, is spayed and up to date on all shots. The veterinarian believes that Zippy may have had a stroke to the spine. There was no evidence of back or pelvic injury. We moved on to the next level and took little Zippy to a neurologist who did a comprehensive examination. She is definitely showing significant signs of improvement and is in no pain. While her “movement...

I\'m everything you ever wanted and more. Dogs that are adopted from the Waco Humane Society are are vet checked, spayed/neutered, micro chipped, and receive a free rabies shot coupon. Bella
Collierville, TN
January 26, 2011

Hi my name is Bella. My foster Mommy calls me Grumpy Grandma but I am neither grumpy nor a grandma…how silly huh? My foster Mommy asked Ratbones to put me on their site in hopes that I can find my furever home. I would really like to be in a one dog home. I don’t like to share so I can get grumpy with other dogs trying to share my human. I am only 7-8 years young so I don’t know why she calls me grandma. I still am agile and love to jump and run in the yard. But foremost I am a lap dog. I love to sit with you while you read or watch TV. I just want to bond with my special someone and stay with them forever! My original Daddy had heart surgery and couldn’t keep me. I was very sad for a long time because I was with him since I was a puppy. I have perked up since then and found my foster Mommy who loves me so much she calls me her Bella Boo and Boo Bear. Unfortunately I can’t stay with my foster Mommy. She already has a house full of do...

Moo
Woodland, CA
April 3, 2011

Moo is a 2 year old, spayed female Rat Terrier. She loves being a lap dog and enjoys going for walks. Moo does not like loud noises, so a nice quiet home without children would be ideal.

Kalli
May 23, 2011
Fort Collins, CO

Sometimes lovely little dogs come our way for a reason. This is the case with Kalli, a little Rat Terrier on the euth list in a MO shelter. We had a ride so we took her. Her mom had lost her home and was living in her car. She felt her little Kalli needed a chance at a new home. Sadly, Kalli was too terrified so she was scheduled to be put to sleep. We thought we had a home in CO but it turns out the adopter is just not ready after losing his first Rat Terrier. So we\'re seeking a new home for Miss Kalli. She is great with kids, other dogs, cats, uses a dog door, is housebroken and walks well on the leash. She loves to sleep in your lap and her mom let her sleep under the covers. Kalli is a doll of a dog and would make a great companion for most anyone. She only weighs about 15 pounds and loves to go in the car too. For information or to adopt please contact Beth at melodee101@gmail.com.

Rocky
May 23, 2011
El Cajon, CA

Rocky is a SWEET, WELL MANNERED BOY who LOVES WALKING AND JOGGING WITH YOU ch as he loves sleeping on his bed! Personality plus, he adores his humans and watches and protects them like a hawk. He loves hanging near the kitchen while you work, or reposing at your feet when you are watching tv or on the computer. Rocky has a GREAT SENSE OF HUMOR, you can see it in his eyes and in the way he looks at you! It seems as if he will be telling you a joke any moment and he loves it when you make him laugh. He travels well, loves to ride in the car. I take Rocky shopping all of the itme: he loves Home Depot, the dollar store and outside cafes. He doesnt beg from the table, but I am ashamed to admit I do sneak him treats there because he is SO VERY GOOD! Rocky will PLAY BALL with you all day long! Rocky comes with his own warm bed, ball and squeaky toy, ready to move in and give you all of his CONSIDERABLE LOVE AND ADORATION!

Maverick
November 27, 2011
Quincy, MA

My name is Maverick, but my close friends call me Mavi. I am a 3 year old male Smooth Coat Rat Terrier mix. I am a nervous guy until I learn to trust you. I have been in fostercare and my fostermom is very proud of me - and I shower her with kisses daily. I do like to cuddle on the couch, especially if I can burrow under a blanket. I have graduated from Basic Manners class and have had some agility training. I have cohabitated with a female MinPin and I am polite while meeting dogs and people. My foster mom rolls around on the floor with me playing, but another dog my own size just might fit the bill. I am house broken and crate trained. If you are patient with me, you will see what an affectionate boy I can be. Right now, I would probably do better in a home with no young children or cats.

To find out more or apply to adopt me, please contact Nancy Harris at:  sikasam44@yahoo.com

Mila
February 4, 2012
Miami, FL

Mila is a female rat terrier, about 2 years old; she was found wandering the streets. Mila is a special case; she sleeps in a large crate and we often find she runs in there on her own. She\'s very nervous outside when walked on a leash, and even more so when left in the yard - even having other dogs outside with her. She is a "mini hoarder", and collects everything and anything she finds and takes in her crate (she\'s unwilling to share with any of the other dogs). Mila is also semi-potty trained as a result of her nervousness; often times she\'ll do her business in her crate or even quickly before getting outside. When she\'s not in a her nervous state she\'s the sweetest dog, and loves to sit on my lap and receive affection. For more info on Mila or to apply to adopt her, please contact Diana at confusionmind@aol.com.
