Welcome to my Sero Scotty Project: This Highlander, sometimes referred to as a "Trunk Back" was purchased by me back around Thanksgiving. If you search the internet, you\'ll be lucky to find any of these. There are dozens of the 13 footers, but little or no 18 foot ones. Unlike most of my previous projects, this trailer is in great shape. There are no dents except for on the bumper. The interior is in fair to good shape. I have all the original cushions and matching curtains. I run an RV company named NC RV Solutions. Our web site is at www.ncrvsolutions.com Please see our web site for previous projects and / or pull down the little tab directly above this. Please stop by often for updates, and please sign the guest book. Thanks, Dan & Tami

16 If you look closely, you can see the hair-line cracks in the bottom of the sinks. I am working on a way to repair this so I can keep the original sink.

37 Pressurized fresh water tank. It is pressurized by the hand pump next to the sink.
38 Hot Water Heater. No idea if it works yet.
39 Jan. 25, starting to take the interior apart.
40 Bathroom, Toilet, sink, medicine cabinet removed. Walls & floor pan prepped for paint.
41 Sagging vinyl ceiling removed.
42 Roof vent shroud removed to prep for removing vinyl.
43 This string was hanging out after I dropped the shroud. Low and behold it is attached to two wires. Apparently the factory ran the wires and left them there for people who wanted to put a fan in later. Makes my life easier.

45 Battery was located here. Lots of corrosion on floor, but wood good underneath.
46 Vinyl removed. Actually looks very nice, but there are a few water spots, in the following pictures. "how on earth did you remove the viny..." View Comments...

62 My Mess !
63 The original linoleum suprised me. With a good cleaning, it will be just fine. To be able to use the original is just amazing. I don\'t think this trailers been used at all in 30 some years. I\'ll get some close ups of it after it\'s cleaned some more.
64 A rainy 33 degree day here today.

Dan, I bought a 1974 Scotty 18\' Trunkback several months ago it sat under a roof for 21 years on top of a mountain and outside for 3 years. As far as condition the inside is very good to excellent with original cushions and curtains. The fridge is no good it has a water leak somewhere I dont think that the hot water heater is any good but all woodwork is excellent. As far as the outside the paint is very good other than the strip above the truck going up to the roof. I painted the hitch and frame back to under the front of the trailer. I need to buy 2 new tires, pack the wheel bearing and make sure the brakes work. - Greg, Tue, 29 Sep 2009 2:28PM

We will be at Lake Jordan the week of July 12>19, can\'t wait...Keep up the good work. - Michelle Ishihara | www.lifeandcadiumyellow.com, Wed, 10 Jun 2009 8:21AM
This is great, just found this site for my 11yr. old. son He luvs tires, wheels and small trailers....a generous man just gave him, last week a 1971 Scotty Serro....he is thilled out of his mind he says... It is very simular to this one. Same curtains...just I can\'t find anything on his potty. It looks like two parts, the top holds water and has a small hand pump/not working...and a pull-out to let is flush...can any one help me there? The Scotty is in restoration condition...but I am not able to do at this time. Thanks so much for sharing with us... Janice & Tommy - Janice, Sun, 10 May 2009 3:26PM

I saw your post on CL and thought you might be interested in some things I saved out of a 60\'s something camper I am tearing down. It was in worse shape than I thought when I bought it. If you have any interest, drop me a line. Dave - Dave, Tue, 3 Feb 2009 4:17PM
